6-Year Recharge Service – 6 years from the date of manufacture, or from the date indicated on the service collar, fire extinguishers are required to be recharged or “broken down” according to manufacturer’s and regulatory guidelines.
Hydrostatic Testing – Hydrostatic testing of fire extinguisher cylinders is required every 12 years for low pressure vessels and every 5 years for high pressure vessels.
